BP signed contracts with Technip Energies for FEED of H2Teesside, a low-carbon hydrogen production project, and Costain for a 31km hydrogen pipeline network in Teesside, UK. H2Teesside aims to produce 160,000 tonnes of low-carbon hydrogen annually, replacing natural gas consumption and contributing to the region's decarbonization efforts. The project is part of the East Coast Cluster, a renewable energy hub backed by the UK government and aims to capture and store over 2 million tonnes of CO₂ annually, supporting the UK's 2030 hydrogen production target.
