Bradford Council approves £16m construction of UK's largest hydrogen fuelling station by Hygen and N-Gen, producing 12.5 tonnes daily for decarbonisation efforts.

Bradford Council has approved the construction of a £16m hydrogen fuelling station by Hygen and N-Gen at the Birkshall gas storage site. The facility, set to be the UK's largest, will produce 12.5 tonnes of hydrogen daily using renewable electricity. The hydrogen will help remove 800 diesel-fuelled buses from West Yorkshire's roads each day, contributing to decarbonisation of local businesses and attracting green companies to the city.
