Hapag-Lloyd and Seaspan Corporation have agreed to retrofit five 10,100 TEU container ships with dual-fuel engines capable of operating on methanol, costing approximately $120 million. The goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and meet customers' demand for greener transportation solutions using green methanol, starting from 2026.
