Hapag-Lloyd signs deal for green methanol to cut emissions, aiming for net-zero by 2045.

Hapag-Lloyd, a global shipping company, has signed a deal with Chinese energy firm Goldwind to receive 250,000 tonnes of green methanol annually. This blend of bio- and e-methanol will help reduce the company's greenhouse gas emissions by at least 70% and save up to 400,000 tonnes of CO2e emissions yearly. The agreement supports Hapag-Lloyd's goal to achieve net-zero fleet operations by 2045.
