Maersk launches a new CO2-saving ship that can use methanol, aiming for a greener fleet by 2027.

Shipping company Maersk has launched a new ship, the A.P. Møller, which can run on both methanol and traditional fuels. This ship can save up to 280 tons of CO2 per day and is part of Maersk's plan to have a fleet of 25 such ships by 2027, aiming for net-zero emissions by 2040. Despite higher current costs for methanol, Maersk expects regulatory changes to favor these cleaner fuels.
