Women who do strength training exercises two to three days a week have a lower risk of death from heart disease, and are more likely to live longer, according to a new study. Of 400,000 participants, only 1 in 5 did regular weight training, but those who did saw significant benefits, including a 30% reduction in cardiovascular mortality. Strength training also benefits bones, joints, mood, and metabolic health.
