Study in JAMA Oncology finds healthy diet slows low-grade prostate cancer progression.

A study in JAMA Oncology indicates that a healthy diet may slow the progression of low-grade prostate cancer. Analyzing 886 men with early-stage cancer, researchers found that higher scores on the Healthy Eating Index (HEI) were linked to a reduced risk of cancer worsening. Diets rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains were beneficial, while those with high inflammatory potential increased risk. Further research is needed, especially with diverse populations.
