A study in JAMA Oncology indicates that men with early-stage prostate cancer can lower their risk of disease progression by adopting a healthy diet. Researchers analyzed data from 886 men with grade 1 prostate cancer and found that improved diet quality significantly reduced the likelihood of cancer advancing to higher grades. Increased adherence to a healthy eating pattern may combat inflammation, potentially preventing the need for aggressive treatments.
