76 residents were displaced and a firefighter and senior citizen injured due to a massive apartment fire in Southeast D.C. caused by illegal fireworks. Juveniles playing with Roman candles accidentally ignited the blaze on a second-floor balcony, which quickly spread to other buildings. D.C. Fire Chief John Donnelly warned people about the danger of fireworks.
