Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation leader, Joseph "Zeke" Rupnick, expects Illinois lawmakers to pass a bill granting the tribe ownership of a 1,500-acre park in DeKalb County. The bill had bipartisan support in both chambers but ran out of time for final passage before the session ended. Illinois lawmakers will reconvene in the fall for their annual veto session to revisit the bill.
