RCMP officer in Nova Scotia is under investigation for alleged excessive force during the arrest of a vulnerable female youth on March 8. The Serious Incident Response Team (SiRT) is conducting an independent investigation, while the officer has been assigned to administrative duties and an internal code of conduct investigation initiated. Both the RCMP and Department of Community Services reported the incident to SiRT.
