11-week-old baby gorilla, Jameela, born via emergency C-section at Fort Worth Zoo, will be transferred to Cleveland Metroparks Zoo in an effort to find a surrogate gorilla mother. The baby's mother, Sekani, and other female gorillas at Fort Worth Zoo did not exhibit maternal behaviors for a successful bond. Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is known for its success in gorilla surrogacy with Baby Kayembe.
