17-year-old Kianga, a first-time mother chimpanzee at Little Rock Zoo, has given birth to a baby chimp. The public viewing area of the chimpanzee yard will be closed for a few days to allow Kianga and her newborn to bond. Kianga, who moved to Little Rock Zoo in 2020 from Albuquerque BioPark Zoo, joins recent baby arrivals, including orangutan Kota and blue-eyed black lemurs named after Daniel Radcliffe and Taylor Swift.
