1.5-month-old gorilla Abeo transferred from Seattle to Louisville Zoo for foster mother Kweli.
1.5-month-old western lowland gorilla, Abeo, was transferred from Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle to Louisville Zoo due to his birth mother not bonding with him. Kweli, a 40-year-old experienced mother gorilla at the Louisville Zoo, was chosen as Abeo's foster mother. Kweli has previously raised Kindi, an orphaned gorilla whose mother died after birth.
