Regular exercise before cancer diagnosis may reduce cancer progression and death risk, study finds.
A recent study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine indicates that regular physical activity before a cancer diagnosis may reduce the risk of cancer progression and death. The study, which included 28,248 patients with stage one cancers, found that low levels of physical activity reduced the risk of cancer progression by 16%, while moderate to high levels reduced it by 27%, compared to those who were inactive. This suggests that physical activity could play a significant role in improving cancer outcomes.
