Owner sentenced for mistreating 36 animals found in poor conditions, leading to one puppy's death.

In July 2021, 35 puppies and a dog were found in poor conditions in a caravan in Eastbourne, leading to the death of one dachshund puppy. Micaela Anderson-Letts, the owner, was sentenced to 24 months' suspended imprisonment, banned from owning animals, and ordered to do 300 hours of unpaid work for causing unnecessary suffering to the animals. The surviving puppies were treated and rehomed.
