A man from Te Awamutu, New Zealand, was sentenced to 100 hours of community service and banned from owning animals for three years after neglecting his dog, Sole. Found emaciated and suffering from untreated conditions, Sole was euthanized. The owner admitted to feeding him only once daily due to work commitments and was ordered to pay reparations to the SPCA.
