55-year-old Miriam Santry from Cork was permanently banned from owning animals and fined €250 for keeping 13 dogs in poor conditions with multiple health issues, including malnourishment and ear infections. The dogs were found in two locations without food or water and in unsanitary conditions. Santry pleaded guilty to offences under the Animal Health and Welfare Act 2013 and was ordered to surrender any animals in her possession to the ISPCA.
