TEPCO plans spring debris collection at Fukushima, upgrading equipment from 2011 meltdown cleanup.

Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) plans to start the second round of collecting radioactive debris samples at the Fukushima nuclear plant this spring. The first attempt used a specially developed extendible device, which will be upgraded with a new camera. TEPCO is also enhancing worker training for this hazardous operation, aiming to tackle the remnants of the 2011 meltdown that resulted from a massive tsunami.
