TEPCO resumes radioactive debris removal in the Fukushima Daiichi plant with a two-week trial using robot "Telesco."

Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) has resumed a crucial operation to remove radioactive debris from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, damaged in the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. This two-week trial aims to collect a small sample of melted fuel debris using an extendable robot named "Telesco." Approximately 880 tons of hazardous material remain, making this task one of the most challenging in the plant's lengthy decommissioning process, targeted to complete in 30 to 40 years.
