The Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) has paused efforts to remove a sample of highly radioactive material from the Fukushima nuclear power plant due to a technical issue with remote cameras. This operation, part of the decommissioning process initiated after the 2011 tsunami, aims to extract 880 tons of radioactive fuel and debris, a significant challenge. TEPCO is investigating the camera malfunction before resuming the operation.
