Potter Park Zoo welcomes critically endangered eastern bongo calf, boosting conservation efforts.

Potter Park Zoo in Lansing welcomed a critically endangered female eastern bongo calf on December 10th. With fewer than 100 eastern bongos left in the wild, this birth is significant for the species' conservation. The calf's parents are first-time moms and dads, and both the mother and calf are doing well. The zoo is part of a Species Survival Plan to protect and sustain the endangered species. Updates on the calf's progress will be shared via the zoo's social media.
