Ontario considers new nuclear and gas plants at three sites to meet future energy demands.

Ontario is exploring three sites for new electricity generation facilities, including potential large-scale nuclear plants, to meet projected energy demands. Energy Minister Stephen Lecce says the province is on track to meet rising electricity needs through 2035, but anticipates a 75% increase by 2050. The Ontario Power Generation is tasked with discussing options, including nuclear or gas plants, with local communities at Nanticoke, Lambton, and Wesleyville.
