Danish banks, including Sydbank and Danske Bank, are buying back shares to reduce their capital, complying with EU rules.

Several Danish banks have been buying back shares to reduce their share capital. Sydbank bought 66,000 shares for DKK 23.15 million, bringing its total owned shares to 5.12% of its capital. Danske Bank purchased 669,888 shares for DKK 136.15 million, owning 2.61% of its shares. Alm. Brand A/S bought 972,946 shares for DKK 13.23 each, holding 2.22% of its shares. These buybacks are part of larger programs and comply with EU regulations.
