Danish companies, including Danske Bank and Sydbank, are buying back shares worth billions of Danish kroner.

Several Danish companies have initiated or continued share buy-back programs. Danske Bank has bought back shares worth DKK 5.5 billion, now holding 2.53% of its shares. Scandinavian Tobacco Group has started a DKK 850 million program, now owning 8.15% of its shares. Sydbank is executing a DKK 1.2 billion program, holding 5.00% of its shares. Alm. Brand extended its program to DKK 220 million, while Schouw & Co. has bought back shares worth DKK 165.7 million, holding 7.63% of its shares. These programs are conducted in compliance with EU market regulations.
