Singh's trial for alleged parliamentary lies remains in State Courts, as High Court transfer request is denied.

Pritam Singh, Singapore's Opposition Leader and Workers' Party chief, has failed to transfer his upcoming trial for allegedly lying to a parliamentary committee from the State Courts to the High Court. Justice Hoo Sheau Peng dismissed the request, stating no strong public interest justified the transfer. Singh faces two charges related to a scandal involving former MP Raeesah Khan, with the trial set for October 14 to November 13.
