Singapore's Workers' Party leader Pritam Singh charged with lying to parliamentary committee in relation to Raeesah Khan controversy.

Singapore's Workers' Party (WP) leader and Leader of the Opposition Pritam Singh was charged with two counts of lying to a parliamentary committee in relation to a lying controversy involving his party's former MP Raeesah Khan. Singh, who is also the Leader of the Opposition, pleaded not guilty to the charges, which stem from his testimony to the Committee of Privileges, which investigated the matter in November 2021. The committee found that Singh was not truthful during his hearings. Parliament endorsed the committee's recommendation to refer Singh to the public prosecutor for further investigations with a view to consider criminal proceedings.
