Former Metropolitan Police Department Sgt. Enis Jevric, 42, has been sentenced to five years in prison for fatally shooting 27-year-old An’Twan Gilmore in August 2021. Gilmore was sleeping in his car at a traffic light with a handgun in his waistband. Jevric pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and using excessive force. The judge also sentenced him to five years of supervised release following his prison term, while prosecutors had recommended a seven-year prison sentence.
