Ikerryunt'a Vernell Stewart, now 20, has been sentenced to over 100 years in prison for a shooting spree outside a Shreveport movie theater in September 2021. At 17, he fired 21 rounds from an AK-47, resulting in the death of 13-year-old Kel'vonte Daigre and injuries to two others. Stewart pleaded guilty to manslaughter and eight counts of attempted second-degree murder, receiving 30 years for manslaughter and 10 years for each murder charge, served consecutively.
