Patterson from Dellwood was sentenced to 18 years in prison for second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the fatal shooting of 29-year-old Miguel Johnson in St. Louis' Central West End. Patterson pleaded guilty as part of a plea deal with prosecutors, and Syntrell Howard, another suspect, faces charges of first-degree murder and unlawful gun possession.
