5+5 Joint Military Commission formed to maintain Libya's ceasefire agreement in Oct 2020.

UN Deputy Special Representative Stephanie Koury highlighted the 5+5 Joint Military Commission's importance in maintaining Libya's ceasefire agreement. The Commission, consisting of representatives from Tripoli's Govt of National Unity and the eastern-based national army, was formed to oversee and implement ceasefire agreements. In Oct 2020, they signed a ceasefire agreement ending the war between eastern and western forces. Libya remains politically divided since Gaddafi's regime fell in 2011.
