The Joint Assessment Mission of ECOWAS-AU-UN concludes its four-day visit in Sierra Leone on 21st June 2024. The mission, co-led by former Gambian VP Fatoumata Jallow-Tambajang and UN Special Representative Leonardo Santos Simão, was facilitated by the Independent Commission for Peace and National Cohesion, with technical experts from ECOWAS and UNOWAS. The mission follows the anticipated end of the national unity agreement.
