54-year-old Martyn Stringer died by suicide after not receiving suitable mental health treatment in a hospital. Despite being assessed as eligible for detainment under the Mental Health Act, a bed could not be found. Area coroner Nicholas Graham has called for a review of mental health treatment bed availability and NHS England has 56 days to respond with details of action taken or an explanation of why no action will be taken.
