20 Gauteng crime wardens injured by vehicle crash during training; driver detained, investigation ongoing.
20 Gauteng crime wardens were injured when a vehicle crashed into them during training at Dunnottar Military Base in Nigel. The driver responsible was detained and under medical observation. A case has been opened with the police, and injured trainees were taken to several hospitals. Minister of Defence and Military Veterans Angie Motshekga and Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi visited the scene. Social workers, psychologists, and chaplains were deployed to provide support. Investigation ongoing.
