NASA's James Webb Space Telescope provides detailed weather report for distant brown dwarf worlds WISE 1049AB with extreme atmospheric conditions.
Astronomers have used NASA's James Webb Space Telescope to create the most detailed weather report for two distant brown dwarf worlds. The celestial objects, named WISE 1049AB, have extreme atmospheric conditions with temperatures of 950°C, and are swathed in swirling clouds of hot sand. Located around six light years away, the study reveals the weather on these brown dwarfs, which are bigger than planets but smaller than stars.
