Scientists Find Oceans Of Water On Planet Forming Star.
Astronomers have discovered a vast amount of water vapor in a planet-forming disk around a young star, HL Tauri, located 450 light-years away. The Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) observed at least three times more water than Earth's oceans in the inner disc of the star. This finding reveals a new link between water and planet formation, and provides crucial insights into the conditions conducive for planetary formation.
