10-year-old lion Jacob, who survived numerous life-threatening situations including goring and an attempted poaching, broke a record by swimming 1.5 kilometers across crocodile- and hippo-infested waters in Uganda with his brother Tibu. Researchers from Griffith University in Australia and Northern Arizona University documented their journey, which highlights the challenges faced by wildlife in a human-dominated world.
