3-legged lion Jacob swam a mile across a crocodile-infested river in Uganda to reach lionesses.

3-legged lion Jacob, with his brother Tibu, swam nearly a mile across a crocodile-infested river at Uganda's Queen Elizabeth National Park to reach lionesses on the other side. The park has a shortage of lionesses due to poisoning by farmers protecting livestock, resulting in males outnumbering females. The record-breaking swim is unusual for lions, who are typically averse to water.
