2023 sees more women CEOs in S&P 500 firms, but their numbers remain small compared to male counterparts. Of 341 CEOs in the annual AP compensation survey, 25 are women, the highest number since the survey's inception in 2011. However, the number of women CEOs has not significantly increased over the years. Women's representation at the top level of S&P 500 companies remains limited.
