Study suggests replacing red meat with small fish like anchovies and sardines could prevent 10% of UK heart disease deaths and save 500K-750K lives globally by 2050.

A new study suggests that replacing red meat with small, nutrient-rich fish such as anchovies and sardines could prevent around 10% of heart disease deaths in the UK and save 500,000 to 750,000 lives worldwide by 2050. These forage fish have a low carbon footprint and could help reduce the global burden of diet-related chronic diseases like coronary heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and bowel cancer.
