Healthier ready-to-eat meals in the EU could cut emissions by 48 million tonnes annually and save customers €2.8 billion each year, according to a report. The study by environmental consultancy Systemiq suggests that aligning the content of ready meals to WHO and EAT Lancet guidelines could significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Implementing these recommendations could result in "huge" climate benefits.
