A man was shot by Richmond police after a disturbance with an armed person at 1900 block of Cedar Street. The suspect produced a firearm during the encounter, leading to him being shot. He suffered life-threatening injuries and later died at a local hospital. A firearm was recovered at the scene, and the officer involved has been placed on administrative leave. The investigation is ongoing.
