A man was fatally shot by a Birmingham police officer responding to a disorderly conduct call in the Forest Park neighborhood on June 24th. The officer arrived at the scene and an altercation ensued, leading to the officer firing multiple shots and critically wounding the man. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. The man's identity remains undetermined and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the incident. The officer involved will be placed on leave while the investigation is ongoing.
