Armed individual shot and killed by Alexandria police in stairwell of condominium complex.
An individual armed with a firearm was shot and killed by Alexandria police in a stairwell of a condominium complex on Monday night. Officers responded to a call at 5100 Maris Avenue around 10:45 pm and fired multiple shots, resulting in the person's death at the scene. The Regional Critical Incident Response Team is investigating and authorities assure no risk to the public. The situation is still developing.
