21 nations have agreed to updated guidelines on restituting Nazi-looted art, built upon the 1998 Washington Principles on Nazi-Confiscated Art, which were initially adopted by 44 countries. The new best practices, presented at a conference commemorating the 25th anniversary, aim to enhance the original standards and are set out by the World Jewish Restitution Organization and the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
