600 Venus flytraps stolen from conservation land in North Carolina; suspects sought.

Police in North Carolina are investigating the theft of approximately 600 Venus flytraps from conservation land. The plants, which are native to southeastern North Carolina and only grow within a 100-mile radius of Wilmington, have been targeted by poachers who sell them on the black market or locally. Authorities have obtained arrest warrants for two individuals accused of stealing the rare plants.
