Two experienced climbers were rescued from the top of the Totem Pole in Tasmania after becoming trapped when their ropes tangled in high winds. Initial rescue attempts by helicopter were unsuccessful due to harsh weather. A rescue team from the Climbing Club of Tasmania reached the climbers overnight, securing them to ropes and moving them to safety. The climbers were cold, tired, and hungry but had no serious injuries.
