8 climbers stranded on Goat Wall, a popular climbing spot near Mazama, were rescued by Okanogan County Search and Rescue after a distress call alerted the authorities. The climbers, from Illinois and Indiana, were unable to navigate down and required immediate assistance. A rescue operation coordinated by the Okanogan County Volunteer Search and Rescue, Chelan County Mountain Rescue, US Forest Service, and North Cascades Mountain Guides located and guided them off the wall.
