Police rescued two fully clothed teenage girls in Crocs from a strong current off Waitangi, New Zealand.

Police in Waitangi, New Zealand, rescued two teenage girls who were swept away by a strong current while jumping into the water with a group of 20. The Police Maritime Unit noticed the girls, who were fully clothed and wearing Crocs, about 300 meters from the wharf around 3:30 pm. Sergeant Jesse Jenden said that if they had arrived a few minutes later, the outcome could have been tragic.
