South West Trains to pay up to £25M in refunds to overcharged rail passengers from 2015-2017.

Rail passengers who travelled with South West Trains between Oct 1, 2015, and Aug 20, 2017, with a Transport for London Travelcard may be overcharged and eligible for refunds. South West Trains agreed to pay up to £25 million in compensation. Claims can be made until Jan 10, 2025, with refunds ranging from £3.85 to £5.11 per journey. Campaigner Justin Gutmann led the case, which found 1.4 million passengers were unfairly charged twice for parts of their journeys.
